Job summary

AtripleA recruitment & temps in the West Rand is seeking an Area Sales Manager to grow our FMCG footprint through new business and strong customer relationships.

You will manage store relations, discuss pricing, handle complaints, and ensure timely product delivery while aligning with company sales strategy. Weekend and public holiday work is required. Experience in FMCG and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric is required and essential for the role.
• Fluent in English and local SA languages.
• Must have 3–5 years of FMCG sales experience.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to work weekends/holidays.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Location: West Rand

Duties will include:

• Find sales leads and increase new business
• Gather market information regarding pricing and trends in the market
• Attend to customer queries and complaints
• Build and maintain relationships with customers
• Product care on shelf - Stock rotation, forward share, expiry date, storage conditions, etc.
• Manage customer credits and returns, drive strategy to reduce credits.
• Assist telesales in getting customer orders in time.
• Manage merchandizers at store level.
• Through relationships, increase turnaround time for product delivery to customer.
• Constant report back through formal and informal reports.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Fluent in English and local South African languages
• Valid driver's licence
• Must have 3-5 years' experience with general sales functions within the FMCG sector
• Must be able to work independently.
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays
• Willingness to learn and drive processes and improve efficiencies.
• Good human relations and excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• Very neat and tidy work ethic.
• Candidate must have a pro-active and attention to detail approach to his/her work.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
