Purpose of the Job:The Junior Desktop Support Engineer provides first-line and mid-level technical support to end-users, ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems, hardware, and software. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining devices and peripherals, supporting IT infrastructure, and providing timely, customer-focused solutions to minimize downtime. The position also includes the administration and timely management of service desk tickets through to resolution and closure.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software, operating systems, and other IT-related issues.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently to minimise user downtime.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade operating systems, applications, drivers, and IT equipment.
• Set up and configure new, rebuilt, or replacement PCs, laptops, and peripherals according to company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a South African Citizen.
• Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
