GBS in Durban is seeking an enthusiastic IT OPS Administrator Intern to dive into IT projects, assist with asset control, and provide vital helpdesk support for a hands-on start in tech.

Qualifications

• Matric with a 3-Year Diploma/Degree in IT/ Business Administration or a related field from a public tertiary institution
• Basic understanding of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/11)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be a South African citizen between the ages of 18-35
• Reside in or around KwaZulu-Natal
• Not currently employed or part of another internship/learnership program
• Must not have previously participated in an internship (SETA/Government)

Responsibilities

• Assist with IT asset management, tagging, and tracking assignments
• Support IT capacity management for our sales floor
• Manage the IT storeroom inventory and perform weekly stock takes
• Help with e-waste disposal and ensure compliance
• Assist in the onboarding of new employees, including setting up equipment and accounts
• Collaborate with the IT Coordinator to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
• Provide support with service desk ticket management and SLA oversight
• Participate in various IT department projects and help meet target deadlines
