Job summary

Dante Personnel is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to deliver end-to-end desk-side and remote IT support for desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals across the Western Cape. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, manage the endpoint lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, and provide professional support to directors and lawyers.

• 2–4+ years in corporate IT support (professional services or legal)
• Experience assisting users in person and remotely
• Strong Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 experience
• Windows Server with HyperV/VMWare knowledge
• AD, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SMTP proficiency
• Experience supporting Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online
• Knowledge of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN)
• Endpoint security, patch management, and SQL knowledge
• Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and document resolutions
• Full endpoint lifecycle management from onboarding to offboarding
• Support senior stakeholders (directors, lawyers) professionally
• Assist with asset management and stock control
• Liaise with vendors for repairs, warranties and escalations
• Participate in after-hours or weekend standby support
• Support IT work in the Western Cape
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and good user behaviour
• Own issues end-to-end and communicate clearly with users and team
• Maintain accurate ticket notes and documentation

Job description

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• 2–4+ years experience in a corporate IT support environment (professional services or legal)
• Experience assisting users in person and remotely
• Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 support experience
• Windows Server with HyperV and VMWare
• Solid understanding of AD, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SMTP
• Experience supporting Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Exchange Online
• Working knowledge of network infrastructure and connectivity technologies (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
• Working knowledge of endpoint security and patch management systems and applications
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Relevant IT certification(s) preferred (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
• Alternating office visits
• Drivers' license with own reliable transport is required
• Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by assessing the impact of issues, prioritizing problems, running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions
• Full endpoint life cycle management for all user devices from onboarding to offboarding
• Resolve Helpdesk requests with minimal supervision
• Support senior stakeholders (directors, lawyers) with a high level of professionalism
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and application issues
• Share knowledge and assist with training and standards within team
• Contribute to improving processes, documentation, and user experience
• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
• iManage/Filesite user support
• Support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Assist with endpoint management (Intune / device policies where applicable)
• Support VPNs, Wi-Fi, and LAN/WAN connectivity
• Perform workstation builds, rebuilds, and lifecycle replacements
• Enforce security standards (endpoint protection, patching, access controls)
• Assist with user access reviews and offboarding
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and good user behaviour
• Own issues end-to-end and communicate clearly with users and team
• Maintain accurate ticket notes and documentation
• Assist with asset management and stock control
• Liaise with vendors for repairs, warranties, and escalations
• Participate in after-hours or weekend standby support when required
• Supporting all IT-related work in the Western Cape
