Job summary
Digital Outsource Services is seeking an IT Support Technician in Cape Town to provide hands-on technical support for desktops and laptops. You will configure software, assist users via chat and Jira, and troubleshoot through Teams and remote sessions while monitoring infrastructure with Grafana, Kibana, and Nagios.
The role requires 2+ years in IT, A+ and Azure AZ-900, a valid licence, and the ability to work shifts. Dell-related hardware knowledge is a plus.
Qualifications
- A+ and Azure AZ-900 qualifications are required.
- Minimum of 2 years' IT experience, preferably in desktop support.
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
- Ability to work shifts.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot user workstations and laptops.
- Ensure correct software is loaded, including Intune.
- Provide front-line desktop support via chat or Jira.
- Troubleshoot via Teams and remote desktop.
- Monitor infrastructure and escalate alerts (Grafana, Kibana, Nagios).
- Support Office 365 and Exchange on‑prem/Online.
- Administer Microsoft Entra and Active Directory.
- Manage user rights via group membership.
- Support corporate and call centre applications.
- Diagnose and fix hardware problems and replace parts.
