Zusammenfassung

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking a hands-on IT Desktop Support Technician to join our Stellenbosch IT team. You own the ticket from first call to fix, supporting users on-site, remotely and via ticketing system, with emphasis on AD, Microsoft 365 and Windows endpoints.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues, build workstations, manage security and perform routine maintenance, including cabling, patching and on-going endpoint protection. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifikationen

• 3–4 years in desktop support, IT support or service desk in a Windows environment.
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ are mandatory with proof available.
• A relevant IT qualification, diploma or certificate.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, TCP/IP and an IT ticketing system.
• Practical network cabling experience: crimping, termination, patching and testing.
• Valid driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Take ownership of first- and second-line requests until resolved or escalated.
• Diagnose and fix hardware, software, printer, peripheral and connectivity faults.
• Build workstations and user accounts for new starters; support transfers and offboarding.
• Run AD and MS 365 support: accounts, password resets, licences and MFA.
• Manage security groups, Group Policy and permission issues.
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless networks; perform cabling work.
• Support mobile devices, VPN and remote users.
• Image machines, deploy software, apply patches and keep endpoint protection current.
• Maintain asset register and document faults, fixes and configuration changes.
• Deal with suppliers on warranty/repair; assist with moves and maintenance.
• Identify root causes of incidents and implement lasting fixes.
