ARCS in Cape Town seeks an IT Helpdesk/Desktop Support specialist to provide day-to-day technical assistance to users, diagnose hardware, software, printer and connectivity issues, and assist with onboarding.

You will set up and maintain PCs and peripherals, create user accounts, support automotive software (Keyloop) and keep IT asset records accurate while communicating clearly and working well in a team.

Formación

• Matric certificate.
• Relevant IT qualification or trade certificate.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, log, troubleshoot and resolve IT support requests.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer and connectivity issues.
• Create user accounts and assist with new employee onboarding.
• Set up, configure and maintain PCs, software and IT peripherals.
• Provide basic support for automotive business applications.
• Escalate complex technical issues where required.
• Monitor outstanding support requests and keep users updated on progress.
• Maintain accurate IT asset registers and equipment records.
• Record equipment allocations, returns and movements.
• Maintain accurate records of IT issues, resolutions and equipment.
• Assist with general IT administration and technical support duties as required.

Requirements

• Matric certificate.
• Relevant IT qualification or trade certificate.
• (A+ Certification)
• Valid Code 2 driver's licence.
• Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support role.
• Experience with user account creation and PC setup/configuration.
• Basic knowledge or experience with Keyloop or similar automotive dealership software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience within the automotive industry or a dealership environment would be advantageous.
