Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Retail Operations Supervisor for our Vereeniging store in Gauteng. You will oversee all inventory processes, from receiving to dispatch, and lead stockroom staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proven leadership in retail or warehousing. You will collaborate with store management to minimize losses and optimize stock levels while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, stock control, or retail operations.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and POS systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and leadership skills for supervising staff.
• Physical ability to lift and move stock.
• Experience in a retail stockroom or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory management: receiving, stocking, and dispatching.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits for accuracy.
• Manage stock levels to balance availability and overstocking.
• Enforce stock control procedures to prevent loss.
• Supervise and train stockroom staff on best practices.
• Operate and maintain inventory management and POS systems.
• Analyze reports to identify trends and slow-moving items.
• Coordinate with suppliers and central distribution for deliveries/returns.
• Keep the stockroom organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
