Requirements
- Matric certificate.
- Three-year tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in inventory or supply chain management.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Business Central (BC).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in chairing disciplinary hearings and handling internal discipline.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport essential.
- Willingness to work overtime and on public holidays.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the inventory and supply chain functions.
- Ensure efficient flow of goods and materials within warehouse operations.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders to meet operational targets.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and optimize supply chain processes.
- Work closely with suppliers, vendors, logistics teams, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain all warehouse records and procedures.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all forklifts.
- Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and planners to maintain optimal material levels and achieve cost savings.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures related to inventory and supply chain.
- Chair and initiate disciplinary hearings as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the company’s quality management system.
- Train subordinates and develop team capabilities.
- Demonstrate effective Industrial Relations (IR) skills in dealing with employees.
