Job summary

Riseup Management is seeking an Internal Sales professional in the electrical distribution field within Mpumalanga. You will handle inquiries, prepare quotes, and convert them into confirmed orders while providing technical guidance to customers.

You will process orders in the ERP system, liaise with external reps and service teams, and ensure accurate pricing and timely deliveries. A relevant electrical qualification plus 2–3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12; electrical qualification advantageous.
• 2–3 years internal sales in electrical/industrial distribution.
• Solid knowledge of electrical components and ERP systems.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Driver's licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming telephonic, email and counter enquiries for electrical products and components
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, converting enquiries into confirmed orders
• Provide technical product advice and cross/up-selling recommendations to customers
• Process sales orders accurately on the ERP/inventory system and track order status through to delivery
• Liaise with external sales representatives and technical staff on customer requirements
• Source pricing and lead times from suppliers for non-stock or specialised electrical items
• Maintain accurate customer and pricing records, and assist with monthly sales reporting
• Resolve customer queries, back orders and returns in a timely manner
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and prospective customers

Requirements & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12; a relevant electrical qualification (N-Dip, trade certificate or similar) advantageous
• Minimum 2-3 years' internal sales experience within an electrical, industrial or technical distribution environment
• Solid product knowledge of electrical components, motors, drives, switchgear or related equipment
• Working knowledge of an ERP/stock management system (e.g. Syspro, Pastel, SAP)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid driver's licence advantageous
