Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience plus medical aid, pension fund, car allowance and fuel card.

Requirements:

• Matric (additional sales, technical or business qualifications highly advantageous)
• Proven B2B sales experience in technical, industrial or engineering products or solutions
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets to grow this existing client base
• Ability to build credibility and long-term relationships with customers at all levels, from artisans and stores staff to buyers and management
• Able to understand a customer’s application and recommend the right product practically and honestly
• Strong planning and territory management, including route planning and prioritising accounts by value and potential
• Self-managed, with the discipline to run a sales pipeline from lead to close without close supervision
• Accurate and timely administration: call reports, quotes and follow-ups
• Proficient in CRM systems and standard business software (Microsoft Office or equivalent)
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, spoken and written
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
• Existing knowledge of tools, hardware or industrial consumables
• Established industrial customer contacts in the region
