Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Site Manager for an industrial project in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee day-to-day on-site operations, lead diverse teams, and liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure safe, on-time, and high-quality delivery.

The role requires deep knowledge of construction processes, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in site supervision and management.
• Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license for site mobility in Richards Bay.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all on-site construction activities to meet project objectives.
• Develop and implement detailed site construction plans, schedules, and methodologies.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed on site.
• Supervise and coordinate work of site personnel, subcontractors, and direct labor.
• Monitor progress against master schedule and resolve delays promptly.
• Conduct regular site inspections for quality control and compliance.
• Manage site logistics including procurement, storage, and equipment deployment.
• Maintain accurate site records such as daily reports and safety logs.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and local authorities.
