Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale industrial facility projects on-site at Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role demands hands-on leadership, deep construction management expertise, and a track record of delivering safe, high-quality projects on time.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial construction, exceptional leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management for industrial facilities.
• Experience managing projects with budgets over R50 million.
• Proficient in construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6) and CM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation for construction projects.
• Manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety regulations.
• Supervise and coordinate site operations, including contractors, subcontractors, and labor.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project budgets, control costs, and approve invoices and payments.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Oversee quality control and assurance processes throughout the construction lifecycle.
