Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Construction Site Manager for projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead on-site activities, supervise personnel and subcontractors, enforce HSE standards, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

The role requires a National Diploma or Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and at least seven years of site-management experience on industrial or commercial projects. On-site availability is essential.

Qualifications

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction site management on industrial or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Experience with construction scheduling and progress monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans and schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of all site personnel and subcontractors.
• Enforce strict HSE policies and environmental standards on site.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with specifications and codes.
• Manage site resources, including materials, equipment and labor, to optimize efficiency and control costs.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects and clients to resolve issues and provide updates.
