Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa seeks an Industrial Process Engineer to join our team in Tembisa. You will analyze production workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs in a hybrid on-site/remote setup.

You will work closely with production managers, quality control, and other engineering disciplines to ensure SOPs, KPI monitoring, and lean initiatives drive quality and safety standards across operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed analysis of production workflows, equipment utilization, and material flow to identify inefficiencies.
Design, implement, and document process improvements, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to monitor product quality and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.
Utilize data analysis tools to track KPIs and generate reports on operational efficiency.
Participate in cross-functional project teams focused on new product introductions and process upgrades.
