Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Maintenance Electrical Technician to ensure the reliable operation of electrical systems at our Mossel Bay facilities. This hands-on role covers preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on a range of industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in electrical maintenance, a National Diploma or N3 in Electrical Engineering, and be familiar with low- and medium- voltage systems, safety procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or N3 in Electrical Engineering or Electrician Trade Test required.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical maintenance in industrial/manufacturing settings preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues with proper testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on motors, generators, control panels and lighting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment.
• Install, test and commission new electrical equipment and systems.
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints and manuals to perform repairs and installations.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs and spare parts inventory.
