Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Rustenburg-based industrial operations team. The role focuses on maintaining electrical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs to maximize uptime and safety.

The successful candidate has a Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with strong schematic-reading skills and adherence to lockout/tagout safety

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 3+ years industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong safety mindset and lockout/tagout proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment including motors, generators, panels, and lighting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and perform timely repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to guide work.
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime.
