Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our industrial operations team in Randburg. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and install equipment, ensuring reliability and safety of electrical systems.

Qualifications

Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
Familiar with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, insulation testers).

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, motors, generators, and control panels.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions, minimizing downtime for critical equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repairs.
Install and commission new electrical equipment as required.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and time spent.
