Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee a wide range of electrical systems and drive preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance, with 2 years in supervision, and strong PLC/SCADA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree or national diploma in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience with high/low voltage systems, motors, drives and control systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor electrical maintenance technicians.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of electrical systems and control panels.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all maintenance activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement coordination.
• Analyze equipment performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Plan and schedule daily maintenance tasks prioritising critical operations.
• Conduct regular safety toolbox talks and maintain maintenance records.
