Placements24 seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee a wide range of electrical systems and drive preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance, with 2 years in supervision, and strong PLC/SCADA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree or national diploma in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience with high/low voltage systems, motors, drives and control systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; safety and regulatory compliance.

About the Role Our client, a major industrial player with significant operations, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal .

This critical role involves ensuring the optimal functioning and reliability of all electrical systems and equipment across our extensive industrial facilities. You will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled technicians, managing maintenance schedules, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of electrical maintenance technicians.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience in the Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal industrial environment is advantageous.
