Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee electrical maintenance in Soweto, Gauteng. You will lead a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring safety, reliability and minimal downtime across our logistics facilities.
The role requires a Diploma/Degree in electrical engineering or related field, Trade Test as Electrician, and 7+ years in industrial electrical maintenance with at least 3 years in supervision.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years in industrial electrical maintenance with 3 years in supervision.
- Diploma/degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Trade test as Electrician; knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, and power distribution.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with safety focus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of electrical maintenance staff.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee installation of new electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot faults and minimise downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Inspect systems regularly to identify hazards or maintenance needs.
- Prepare reports, work orders and budgets.
