Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for a large-scale manufacturing facility in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee a team of electricians, coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, and drive uptime and safety across critical electrical systems.

The ideal candidate holds a National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) and a qualified Electrician with Artisan Trade Test, plus at least 5 years in industrial maintenance

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) or equivalent.
• Qualified Electrician with Artisan Trade Test and 5+ years in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a similar role.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems (motors, VFDs, PLCs, switchgear, control systems).
• Strong understanding of safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and risk assessment.

Responsabilités

• Supervise electricians and technicians in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules and work orders using a CMMS.
• Troubleshoot complex faults in motors, VFDs, PLCs, switchgear and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies and standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks for the maintenance team.
• Manage spare parts inventory for electrical components.
