Placements24 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the electrical maintenance team and ensure continuous, safe operation of plant electrical systems. The role covers planning, preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with operations and engineering to improve reliability.

Hands-on leadership and strict safety standards are required.

Formación

Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certificate (e.g., NQF Level 3/4, Wireman's License).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high and low voltage equipment, VSDs, PLCs, and industrial control systems.
Proven experience with preventative and predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., thermography, vibration analysis).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Knowledge of relevant South African electrical safety standards and regulations.

Responsabilidades

Supervise and guide a team of electricians and technicians in performing electrical maintenance tasks.
Develop, implement, and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical systems, including motors, generators, switchgear, control systems, and instrumentation.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and best practices.
Manage spare parts inventory for electrical components and equipment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks with the maintenance team.
Review and approve maintenance work orders and ensure timely completion and accurate record-keeping.
Collaborate with the engineering department on equipment upgrades, modifications, and capital projects.
Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
