Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Efficiency Engineer to join the Stellenbosch team. You will analyze workflows, identify waste, and implement strategic improvements to optimize resources and reduce costs. Strong analytical skills and change-management ability are essential.

The role collaborates with production, maintenance, and quality teams to embed new processes and drive continuous improvement using Lean/Kaizen/5S principles. A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial engineering focused on efficiency improvements.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective training/communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing industrial processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Design and implement waste reduction, cost control, and productivity strategies.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure improvement.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to integrate new processes.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma (Kaizen, 5S) to drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports and management recommendations on improvements.
