Placements24 is seeking an experienced Youth Development Program Manager to design, implement, and oversee youth programs in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will lead teams, manage operations, and foster partnerships with schools and community organizations.

The role focuses on skills development, education, and youth well-being. The ideal candidate has a background in youth work and program management, with strong leadership and data-driven evaluation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Education, Psychology)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in youth development, program management, or community work
• Proven track record of designing and implementing effective youth programs
• Strong understanding of adolescent psychology and developmental needs
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience supervising staff and volunteers
• Proficiency in program evaluation and data management
• Ability to build trust with youth from diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive youth development programs aligned with organizational objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of youth programs including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers working with youth.
• Establish and maintain relationships with schools and community organizations and stakeholders in Kimberley.
• Monitor program progress, collect data, and prepare reports on program impact and outcomes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all program participants.
• Facilitate workshops and activities that promote life skills, leadership, and career readiness.
• Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant proposals related to youth development.
• Advocate for the needs of young people within the community.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in youth development.
