Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator in George to lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support for our volunteer base. The role blends in-office collaboration with remote flexibility to suit a dynamic nonprofit environment.

You will maintain volunteer records, schedule coverage, and recognize volunteers through events and communications, driving engagement and program success.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer management or HR-related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
• Ability to use volunteer management software and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, onboard, and train volunteers for programs.
• Develop and maintain a volunteer database with hours and activities.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Provide ongoing support, recognition, and communication to volunteers.
• Organize volunteer appreciation events (in-person and virtual).
