Placements24 supports a Stellenbosch-based charity by recruiting, onboarding and training volunteers for diverse programs. The Volunteer Coordinator will foster an engaging environment, manage schedules, and provide ongoing support to a growing volunteer team, ensuring volunteers feel valued and connected to the mission.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, record-keeping, and delivering impactful orientation sessions, with a hybrid work setup and opportunities for community impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer management or related coordination role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized with solid planning abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to recruit volunteers from the community and institutions.
• Screen, interview and onboard volunteers based on skills and interests.
• Develop and deliver orientation and training programs.
• Provide ongoing support, recognition and motivation to volunteers.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments for programs and events.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and ensure policy compliance.
