Placements24 is seeking an Event Coordinator in Upington to plan and execute charitable events that support our client’s mission in the Northern Cape. The role blends hybrid planning with on-site execution, coordinating budgets, vendors, and stakeholder communications to deliver memorable experiences.

You will manage from concept through post-event analysis, ensuring strong attendance, meaningful engagement, and measurable outcomes for program support in the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with budget management and vendor negotiation.
• Familiarity with event management software and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage a variety of events, including fundraising galas, workshops, and community gatherings.
• Develop event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and manage all logistical aspects.
• Coordinate event marketing and promotion to ensure maximum attendance and engagement.
• Oversee event execution on-site, ensuring smooth operations and attendee satisfaction.
• Liaise with internal teams, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure event success.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and report on outcomes and lessons learned.
