Placements24 is seeking a creative Event Planner to lead fundraising event planning in Klerksdorp. The role blends on-site coordination with remote strategic planning to support our nonprofit fundraising goals.

You will manage concept development, budgeting, vendor negotiations, and post-event analysis while collaborating with sponsors, donors, and volunteers in a hybrid work setup. Prior nonprofit event experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably for non-profit or charity organizations.
• Strong project management, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Creative flair and an eye for detail in event design and execution.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid capacity.
• Experience with event management software and virtual event platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of fundraising events, including large-scale galas.
• Develop and manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and secure necessary services.
• Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and décor.
• Liaise with sponsors, donors, and volunteers to ensure successful event participation.
• Oversee event promotion, ticketing, and registration processes.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare detailed reports on outcomes and financial performance.
