Placements24 is seeking a Development Officer to lead and manage community projects in the Port Elizabeth area. The role involves hands-on project planning, fundraising, and active stakeholder engagement with communities, partners, and beneficiaries.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in project management or fundraising, strong writing and communication skills, and a degree in a relevant field. The position is office-based in Port Elizabeth with community-facing duties.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage complex projects within timelines and budgets.
• Excellent proposal writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of community development projects from inception to completion.
• Identify funding opportunities and develop compelling proposals to secure financial support for projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local government, and partner organizations.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring responsible financial stewardship and timely reporting.
• Evaluate project outcomes and impact, making recommendations for improvement and sustainability.
