About the Role

Our client, a leading name in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Hygiene Compliance Officer to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and regulatory adherence across their operations. This is a fully remote position, perfect for an experienced professional who can effectively manage compliance initiatives from a distance. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene protocols, conducting virtual audits, and providing expert guidance to ensure that all facilities meet stringent local and international standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
• Conduct remote risk assessments and internal audits of hygiene practices and systems at various operational sites.
• Monitor and analyze sanitation performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide training and support to on-site teams on hygiene best practices, regulatory changes, and compliance expectations.
• Investigate and manage any non-compliance issues, developing and overseeing corrective action plans.
• Stay current with evolving food safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices in sanitation.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations teams to integrate hygiene requirements into all aspects of product development and manufacturing.
• Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, audit findings, and improvement initiatives for senior management.
• Act as a primary point of contact for external regulatory inspections and audits related to hygiene.
• Promote a strong culture of food safety and hygiene awareness throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or sanitation management, with a focus on compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
