About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Hygiene Officer to oversee and enforce stringent hygiene standards within their facilities in Port Elizabeth . Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures across all departments.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health regulations and internal standards, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Investigate and address any hygiene-related complaints or incidents, implementing necessary interventions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper hygiene practices, waste management, and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, training, and sanitation activities, preparing regular reports for management.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a hygiene management, sanitation supervision, or quality assurance role, preferably in a relevant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, public health, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough audits and assessments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of training and influencing staff at all levels.
