Placements24 invites an experienced Hydraulics Engineer to join a leading consulting firm in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on designing and analyzing water and wastewater networks, stormwater systems, and related infrastructure across the region.

You will work hands-on, with regular site engagement and coordination with local authorities, communities, and contractors to deliver sustainable water solutions.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with hydraulics/water specialization.
• 6+ years proven experience in water and sanitation infrastructure design/analysis.
• PrEng or PrTechEng with ECSA is preferred.
• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software is essential.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze hydraulic systems for water and sewer networks and stormwater management.
• Prepare detailed engineering plans, calculations, and specifications.
• Use hydraulic modeling tools for system analysis and optimization.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
• Oversee construction phases and ensure quality control.
• Engage with clients, municipal engineers, and contractors to deliver projects.
• Assess existing systems and recommend rehabilitation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with water regulations and environmental practices.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
