Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Event Coordinator to plan and execute events in Stellenbosch's renowned wine region. You will partner with culinary teams, sales, and operations to deliver exceptional service while managing budgets and post-event analysis.

This hybrid role blends on-site event management with remote planning, requiring strong vendor relations, client-facing communication, and proficiency with event management software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar event management role, preferably in hospitality or venue management.
• Strong understanding of event planning processes, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with strong client-facing experience.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office productivity tools.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model, balancing on-site responsibilities with remote planning duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and wine tastings.
• Develop event budgets, manage expenditures, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and event objectives.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Oversee event setup, logistics, staffing, and on-site management to ensure flawless delivery.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and client feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement.
