Job summary

Placements24 seeks a compassionate Special Needs Education Facilitator to support learners in Paarl with diverse needs. You will develop and implement IEPs, adapt materials, and collaborate with teachers, parents and specialists to promote inclusive education.

A relevant qualification with SACE registration and at least 3 years’ experience are required. The role offers a hybrid arrangement in the Western Cape, combining on-site support with remote planning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Special Needs Education and SACE registration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with diverse special educational needs.
• Knowledge of learning disabilities and therapeutic approaches.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct educational support to students with special needs, individually and in small groups.
• Develop, implement and review IEPs.
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet student needs.
• Implement prescribed interventions and therapies.
• Monitor student progress and report on development and challenges.
• Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians and external professionals.
