Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Special Needs Education Coordinator to lead a dedicated support team in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive the necessary resources to thrive.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents, therapists, and external specialists to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience with students with special needs
• Proven experience in developing and implementing IEPs

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for interventions.
• Serve as liaison between school, parents, and external agencies providing support services.
• Provide training and guidance to school staff on best practices in special needs education.
