Placements24 is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to contribute to diverse construction projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This on-site role blends office planning with field work, focusing on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specifications.

You will support project managers, monitor site activities, review drawings, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while coordinating with suppliers and site teams for successful delivery.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience in a project engineering role.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and PM principles.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Experience with project management software and engineering design tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Hybrid work model adaptability (office and site).

Responsabilidades

• Support Project Managers in planning and execution of construction projects.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with designs, specs, and safety standards.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control of materials and workmanship.
• Identify and report issues or risks and propose solutions.
• Review and approve shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Participate in site meetings and problem-solving discussions.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and company policies.
• Assist in commissioning and handover of completed projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes.
