Placements24 is seeking a Regional Delivery Manager to lead logistics operations in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role combines on-site oversight of hubs and drivers with remote strategic planning in a hybrid model.

The ideal candidate will have a strong FMCG/logistics background, proven leadership skills, and deep knowledge of the Eastern Cape region. Salary is commensurate with experience and benefits include medical aid and retirement provisions.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field.
Minimum 6 years in logistics and delivery management, with supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of Eastern Cape logistics landscape.

Mansioni

Oversee day-to-day delivery operations across the Eastern Cape.
Lead and develop delivery drivers, dispatchers and warehouse staff.
Design routes and schedules to maximise efficiency and minimise transit times.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Monitor fleet performance, maintenance and fuel usage; implement cost-saving measures.
Oversee goods handling, loading/unloading and inventory at distribution points.
Maintain strong client relationships and address delivery issues promptly.
Analyse delivery data to identify KPIs and improvement areas.
Manage regional budgets to ensure profitability.
Enforce health and safety protocols across distribution activities.
