Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Regional Operations Director to lead all regional logistics activities in the Eastern Cape from East London. You will drive efficiency, profitability, and service excellence across warehousing, transport, and client relations.

The role demands a strategic leader with deep logistics expertise, capable of guiding large, multi-site operations and high-performing teams to meet ambitious growth targets.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management with senior leadership in logistics.
• Proven track record managing regional or multi-site operations.
• In-depth knowledge of TMS and WMS.
• Exceptional strategic planning, leadership and financial management.
• Strong understanding of logistics regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to lead high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all regional operational activities within the designated region, aligning with company goals.
• Develop and execute plans to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Mentor regional operations managers and teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Establish KPIs to track operational success and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance.
• Build relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee budget development and management for the region.
• Drive continuous improvement across warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
• Report regional performance to executive leadership with strategic insights.
