Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to oversee construction and development projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This hybrid role combines on-site project oversight with remote administration to drive successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 6 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction project management for commercial developments.
• Proven track record of delivering projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and safety regulations.
• Experience with project management software such as MS Project or Procore is essential.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control project costs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, and execution of construction and development projects in the commercial sector.
• Oversee all project phases: site assessment, permitting, contractor selection, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets; track progress and control costs.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
