Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Project Manager for high-impact infrastructure initiatives in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The role combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility under a hybrid model, overseeing full lifecycle from planning to closure.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in project management within infrastructure, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, and BIM tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management with infrastructure focus.
• Experience managing projects with budgets over R100 million.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and SA building regs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6; BIM software a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (remote + on-site).

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage large-scale infrastructure projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, budgets, timelines, and risks.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and foster a high-performance environment.
• Engage stakeholders including clients, government bodies, and contractors.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to stay on track.
• Oversee procurement and contract negotiations with vendors.
• Prepare regular status reports for senior management.
• Conduct site visits and project reviews under hybrid model.
