Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager in Cape Town to lead diverse construction projects with a hybrid work model, combining strategic remote planning with essential on-site engagement.

You will oversee all project phases from planning and budgeting to execution and handover, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and high-quality standards, while coordinating teams and managing risks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 8+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience with hybrid work models, managing projects effectively across remote and on-site environments.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and contract negotiation.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
• Develop and manage project schedules, resource allocation, and risk management plans.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and project personnel.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings, both in person and remotely.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams.
