Placements24 is seeking a Production Team Lead for a Rustenburg manufacturing facility. The role combines on-site leadership with off-site planning to drive safe, efficient production of heavy-duty mining equipment.

You will guide skilled artisans and operators, manage production schedules, ensure quality, and promote continuous improvement while upholding health and safety standards. Hybrid scheduling reflects the need for hands-on supervision and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in production/manufacturing, preferably heavy machinery or mining equipment.
• Strong supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Excellent knowledge of welding, fabrication, and assembly for heavy equipment.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specs.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise a production team, ensuring safety protocols and targets.
• Organize tasks, monitor progress, provide guidance.
• Ensure quality standards for all components and assemblies.
• Conduct safety briefings and train team on SOPs.
• Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime.
• Maintain records of output, materials, and labor hours.
• Collaborate with engineering/planning to optimize workflow.
