Placements24 is looking for a proactive Production Team Leader for a heavy industrial manufacturing site in Rustenburg, North West. You will guide a team, optimize daily output, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role blends on-site supervision with remote administrative tasks, requiring leadership, lean thinking, and collaboration with planning and maintenance to drive performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in heavy industrial equipment sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and health and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a team and resolve conflicts.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work model (on-site and remote admin tasks).
• Proficiency with production tracking and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of production operators to foster high performance.
• Oversee daily production activities ensuring targets for output, quality, and efficiency.
• Enforce safety regulations and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor equipment and processes and implement preventive maintenance.
• Manage team schedules, attendance, and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, and maintenance to optimize workflow.
• Participate in lean initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Maintain production records and generate performance reports.
• Ensure efficient use of materials and resources.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
