Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator for its East London operations in the Eastern Cape. The role combines office presence with remote work, focusing on purchase orders, supplier coordination, and maintaining procurement records to ensure cost-effective purchasing in line with company standards.

You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, monitor stock levels, and assist with supplier performance and reporting while ensuring compliance and process

Qualifications

• Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years in procurement coordination, purchasing, or admin role.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP or procurement software.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate processing of purchase requisitions and creation of purchase orders.
• Communicate with suppliers to gather quotes, confirm orders, and track delivery schedules.
• Maintain procurement documentation including contracts, invoices, receipts.
• Liaise with internal departments to clarify requirements and resolve queries.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points with relevant teams.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and adherence to terms.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical guidelines.
• Support senior staff with data collection for analysis and reporting.
• Manage procurement filing system for efficient retrieval.
• Identify process improvements within procurement workflow.
