Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Process Control Engineer to join our East London team. You will design, implement, and maintain advanced control systems to optimize chemical processes, ensuring stable operations and product quality while adhering to safety standards.

You will work with DCS, PLCs, and APC strategies, collaborating with process engineers to achieve control objectives. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for ongoing training and certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in process control engineering within the chemical or process industry.
• Proficiency with major DCS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson DeltaV) and PLC programming.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control theory, and process dynamics.
• Experience with advanced process control (APC) techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and commission advanced process control strategies (e.g., Model Predictive Control).
• Develop and maintain DCS/PLC logic, HMI screens, and alarm management systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems to improve process performance and stability.
• Collaborate with process engineers to define control objectives and ensure effective implementation.
• Ensure control systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel on control systems.
