Placements24 is seeking an ambitious Operations Engineer to join a hybrid team in Vereeniging. You will analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements that boost productivity and reduce costs while ensuring high-quality output.

The role blends remote analytical work with on-site collaboration, requiring strong data analysis, Lean and Six Sigma know-how, and effective communication with production, maintenance and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in operations engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical tools.
• Ability to work effectively both independently in a remote setting and collaboratively on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies.
• Design and optimize workflows, material handling, and equipment utilization.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless operational execution.
• Support the development and implementation of new operational procedures and systems.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.
