Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecom Network Operations Manager in Randburg to lead the Network Operations Centre, ensuring uptime, performance, and security for a high-availability telecom network. You will drive incident response, oversee monitoring, and shape operational procedures to meet SLAs.

The role requires 7+ years in telecom network operations with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity, a Bachelor's in IT/CS/Telecommunications, and strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Telecommunications or related field.
• 7+ years in telecom network operations with 3+ years in management.
• Experience leading a NOC or similar operations team.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, SNMP and network management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Network Operations Centre (NOC) team and provide guidance.
• Monitor network performance, availability and utilization with tools.
• Develop and implement network operational procedures and best practices.
• Oversee incident response, troubleshooting and resolution.
• Ensure SLA and performance targets are met.
• Coordinate with engineering, deployment and support teams.
• Manage the NOC operational budget.
• Implement proactive maintenance to prevent disruptions.
• Conduct staff performance reviews and identify training needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
