Placements24 is seeking a proactive Network Security Engineer for our client’s growing telecommunications team in Upington, Northern Cape. This hybrid role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing security infrastructure to protect networks and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security engineering or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network security devices from major vendors.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP are desirable.

Responsabilités
