Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mine planning and design, with open pit/underground exposure.
• Proficiency in Deswik, Vulcan, or similar software.
• Knowledge of geological principles and economic evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed short-term and long-term mine plans using advanced mine planning software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects and expansion opportunities.
• Optimize mine layouts, sequencing, and production schedules to maximize ore recovery and minimize waste.
• Perform geological modeling and resource estimation in conjunction with the geology team.
• Ensure all mine plans comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational constraints.
• Analyze production data and mine performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with survey, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate implementation of mine plans.
• Evaluate new mining technologies and methodologies to enhance planning efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and planning personnel.
